Nice tutorial! You should have thrown in a little example about what happens when you lose the witness after a failover (you lose access to the DB). Folks running Windows 2012 in a VMware environment can run into this situation if they are affected by the restart bug after automatic updates have been applied in a VMWARE ESX 5.5+ environment. Loss of connectivity caused the failover (ok, that’s fine), but then the witness rebooted automatically and never left the Windows start screen, so no DB access until the witness was back up.
